In 1984, Hermès entered the tableware market and launched the Birkin bag. In 1997, it began to produce men’s leather shoes. In 1999, it bought 35% of the shares of Jean-Paul Gaultier’s brand. In 2008, the Fondation Hermès was created. In 2010, the Hermès Petit H workshop was born. In 2018, the Hermès International Group was listed on the CAC 40 of the Paris Stock Exchange. In 2020, the year after the birth of the Hermès Beauty Division, the Hermès Guyenne Leather Workshop was completed and the Hermès Crafts School (CFA Apprenticeship Training Center) was established. In 2022, the new Madison Hermès House at 706 Madison Avenue in the Upper East Side opened.
